In the middle of a midwestern winter, we can’t help but dream about warmer climates, palm trees and sunny skies. Today, we’re going to let you all indulge in a fantasy wedding on the beach at The Westin on Hilton Head Island! Our adorable featured couple Brittany & Jace met over 5 years ago while they were students in college.
“I was going to school in Alabama and Jace was going to school in Illinois. I actually was the one who reached out to him first (girl power). The distance never stopped us! After graduation we decided to stay in Illinois, and the rest is history!
“Hilton head has always been a special place to us! Jace’s family had been traveling there every summer for 10+ years. The first year we started dating he took me there and I instantly fell in love! My family started traveling there as well and soon it became a very special place to all of us. I always knew I wanted a beach wedding and this was the perfect place to have it. The beaches are wide and beautiful, the sand is soft, and the lifestyle there is truly just so relaxing.
“I had THE BEST experience at Kathryn’s Bridal. I actually was not looking forward to wedding dress shopping because I’ve never liked when other people have pushed me to try things on. Kathryn’s was not like this at all! They listened to everything I wanted in a dress & never forced anything on me. They were so patient and kind with me while I contemplated which dress was going to be “The Dress.” (It’s hard to choose when they’re all so beautiful). They have a great system down when it comes to finding your dream dress, and it was such a smooth and fun experience with them! They helped me every step of the way!
The bride ultimately selected a feminine gown from designer, Madeline Gardner of MoriLee. The wedding dress has crystal beading, frosted floral embroidery on a Net over Glitter Net slim A-line silhouette. The structured sweetheart bodice, detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves, and keyhole back give a fresh look. A wide horsehair hemline and effortless sheer train complete the modern feel. It was the ideal choice for an oceanfront ceremony.
“Our wedding was everything we could’ve imagined and more! Our vendors were amazing and went above and beyond. The day was beautiful & we were so grateful to share it with all our loved ones,” real bride Brittany.
