Brooklyn & Erik

We’re always charmed by local love stories! And today, we proudly introduce you to Brooklyn and Erik. This couple’s joy and happiness is so visible and what wedding dreams are made of!

The pair first met in 2016 at a mutual friend’s house party. “Fast forward to 2021, we now have two dogs together “Bentley and Bandit” and a home together that we love so much. Erik always told me “once my truck is built I promise I will get your ring.” He had always said he wanted to get his truck done first because he knew if he didn’t get it done before we got married and started to have children it would have been put on the back burner and would have never gotten done. I supported his passion for this and I always will but it was always a running joke that the second the truck was done a ring better fly out of the exhaust. July 2021, the truck was “completed” (it’ll never be completely done) And while I was on Vacation in Florida the first week in August, Erik went and picked out that ring he always promised me.

“Wedding Dress shopping is something every girl dreams about. Which is why it’s so important to choose the right place to shop. That shop for me was, of course, Kathryn’s Bridal. I had shopped for my prom dresses, my homecoming dresses as well as my dress for the Miss McHenry Pageant all at Kathryn’s Bridal. Kathryn’s Bridal also was my Miss McHenry sponsor. So it only made sense that I had to go to Kathryn’s Bridal as this hometown bridal shop holds a special place in my heart. Kathryn and her team are so welcoming and helpful every step of the way. The dresses are beautiful and I couldn’t imagine shopping anywhere else. I can’t thank them enough for all the help in finding all my dresses.
