We’re so excited to feature newlyweds Elizabeth and Joe!

“Joe and I met on a dating app! I was looking for a pizza date and maybe some conversation. I had no expectations. Our first date was wonderful! He planned the most wonderful and thoughtful date for me, he took me tea tasting, we went to the petting zoo in Wheaton to see the holiday lights and then pizza at Gino’s East. We both soon realized we were made for each other! We have a love of traveling and coffee shops and having great experiences,” shares Elizabeth.

The couple celebrated their love at The Hotel Baker in Saint Charles. The venue is known for its historic splendor, polished service, and spectacular cuisine. Joe and Elizabeth recited their wedding vows in the lovely Rose Garden and then moved inside for a reception in the elegant Rainbow Room.

When it came to finding the perfect dress for her special day, the bride had a clear idea in mind for style and color! “I had a specific dress in mind that I fell in love with. A different bridal shop miscommunicated that they had this specific dress in stock (they did not). So, after being disappointed with the previous shop, my sister saved the day by calling around and found out Kathryn’s Bridal had this dress in stock. (My sister was in town very briefly and wanted her to enjoy the experience with me.)

“When I called and told Kathryn’s staff the situation, they confirmed that they had the dress! They were very understanding and were able to squeeze me in at the last minute towards the end of their closing time! Very generous and a life saver too! The experience at their shop was not rushed nor did it feel like I was inconveniencing them. Very fun and supportive women! They made me feel very beautiful. The boutique it set was clean, gorgeously designed and a nice large selection of dresses of all sorts of designs. Thank you for helping me achieve my dream wedding dress.

The dress Elizabeth wore is a breathtaking choice for the modern, chic bride! From Maggie Sottero, the Zander gown features contrasting layers of tulle, lace motifs, and Chantilly lace. The sheer bodice features illusion long sleeves, a plunging V-neckline, and scoop back, all accented in 3D floral lace motifs. Hemline trimmed in horsehair, completing the tulle ballgown skirt. Finished with covered buttons over zipper closure.
