Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment to shop in your boutique?
Yes. We are by appointment to provide each of our clients with our undivided attention. Working with a dedicated stylist allows you to be educated on all of your options, as well as all of the unique services that the boutique has to offer.
Can I schedule bridal and bridesmaid appointments back-to-back?
Absolutely!
How far in advance of my wedding should I shop for my wedding gown?
We recommend shopping for your wedding dress soon after you choose your wedding date and venue. Ordering can take anywhere from six to nine months. To give yourself a stress-free experience and to avoid rush fees, start shopping between nine months and a year before your wedding. If you have less than six months before your big day, no worries! There are many options for you.
Do you have options in my budget?
Kathryn’s dresses range from $1200 to about $5000. Our average price range is between $1500 – $2500.
Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
We recommend bringing up to 4 people whose opinions you value most. Have a larger group? We will be more than happy to make arrangements, please call the shop to discuss options.
Can I bring my Starbucks?
Unfortunately no food or drink other than water is allowed in the store.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
Feel free to bring pictures of gowns that inspire you. We encourage you to wear nude-colored underwear and bring a hair tie or clip to keep hair away from zippers and buttons.
How long is my appointment?
Appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes, the ideal amount of time to try on several gowns, narrow down your selection, and say YES without feeling rushed.
What size are your gowns?
We don’t believe in “one size fits all.” The gowns at Kathryn’s are a variety of sizes, from bridal size 2 through 24. We strongly believe that every bride should feel comfortable and have many beautiful options to try on when she’s shopping for her wedding dress.
Will I need alterations?
Most wedding gowns need at least some alterations to ensure the ideal fit and length. Alterations vary from bride to bride and from gown to gown. Alterations costs are not included in the price of your wedding gown and are determined by the seamstress. Our expert in-house seamstresses will insure the perfect fit for your big day.
