With great joy, we present the beautiful wedding of Katie and Chris.

“My husband Chris and I met on Match.com in the heart of Covid in August of 2020. He was my first and only Match date actually! Our first date took place at a cute beachy bar called Lindy’s Landing. We both left the date feeling super comfortable with each other and wanting to see each other again! Chris proved to be a huge blessing during a crazy time in the world for my career as a teacher and proof that love finds you when you least expect it too!” shares Katie.

The couple had their ceremony and reception at Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook. This sophisticated venue is nestled on 88 acres of stunning natural scenery combined with a prairie style of architecture. Fortunately, the majority of the day was summer sunshine combined with a few sprinkles of good luck rain. And, who doesn’t love a picture of newlyweds under an umbrella?

“My experience at Kathryn’s was absolutely wonderful! I had driven past the shop before and was immediately drawn to the store because it’s spelled exactly the way I spell my name, but I also first experienced Kathryn’s through one of my best friends’ weddings a few weeks before I went dress shopping for my wedding. The bride’s gown was designed by Enzoani and is from the Blue Collection. This classic strapless sweetheart mermaid gown has gorgeous floral-shaped appliques of beaded, embroidered lace and chantilly lace sprinkled atop the soft stretch georgette fabric. Delicately scalloped hem lace creates even more sweetness, while covered buttons add the finishing touch along the invisible back zipper. It is the quintessential romantic lace wedding dress and truly seems as if it was actually created just for Katie.
