We’re so very proud to present local newlyweds: Kristen and Charlie!

According to the bride, “We met how every great 2020 lockdown love story meets – on a dating app. Nothing was open, the world was shut down, so we matched and decided to meet for a hike in a forest preserve. (My friends warned me that meeting a stranger from an app in a forest was the start of any good crime show, but I brought my Pitbull Pup with me for safety.) We met for a hike at The Hallows in Cary. Charlie brought my dog Buddha a toy, so he instantly won brownie points with both of us. We went for a hike around the lake there and then sat under the pavilion for a while talking and laughing together. From there we spent a lot of time together and quickly fell in love.

The couple had their wedding ceremony and reception at The Gardens of Woodstock. The dreamy day had a whimsical forest wedding vibe combined with perfect weather. The outdoor space was alive with blooms, butterflies and love. The bride wore the “Avery” gown from our Madilane Collection that harmonized perfectly with the venue. This soft A-line dress has thin spaghetti straps, a structured bodice and large floral lace falling across the gown, showcasing a low circular back finished off with six pearl buttons.
