Love was not canceled this summer for our featured bride Angela and her new husband Ken! Despite a pandemic and social distancing, the couple was able to create a day that was truly perfect.

“Ken and I decided to do a 2 year engagement, so when COVID threatened the cancellation of our wedding, we wanted to figure out a way to do it in a smaller setting.

“We decided to have a small ceremony in our backyard followed by our two favorite things – a bonfire and barbecue – and save the large reception for June of 2021 at Boulder Ridge. We invited our immediate families and 6 closest friends join us for a 19 person reception.

“Ken and I decided to do first look pictures at Boulder Ridge so that we could get the beautiful pictures we had been dreaming of since we booked the venue in winter of 2018 with Stephanie Bartman Photography – and we’re so happy we did! She did an amazing job and captured every small detail of our day. The first look was followed by pictures with our families at a park in Elgin and an hour drive out to Byron, IL, where Ken and I live to have our ceremony! Our day truly turned out to be a beautiful, intimate event and we wouldn’t change anything about it!” ~ Real Bride, Angela
