Save the Date Details

by | Jul 15, 2021 | Invitations

Are you wondering if and when you need to send Save the Date cards for your upcoming wedding?

Traditionally, engaged couples announced their upcoming nuptials in the newspaper or in their local church bulletin. Today, Save the Date cards have replaced the official printed engagement announcement and are  sent to your guests as a courtesy. However, if your wedding is taking place during a busy time of year (holidays, graduation) or if many of your guests will need to make travel arrangements to attend, then a Save the Date card is highly recommended.

Ideally, you should mail your Save the Date cards 7 to 11 months prior to your wedding. Be certain that you only send the cards to guests on your confirmed “A” list! Remember that “B” list guests are excluded from Save the Date card mailings.

The basic information on your Save the Date cards should include: wedding website information, hotel recommendations, and the city the ceremony will take place.

At Kathryn’s Bridal, we have a very large collection of Save the Dates. We can even customize your cards to complement the tone or color of your wedding invitation. The options for creativity are endless!

Save time and money by working with a local wedding professional stationery shop you can trust rather than taking your chances buying online! We promise your complete satisfaction!
